Qualifications The lab has just been set up, and we will ramp up as soon as possible! We strive for positioning the lab as the internationally leading lab in our research area. Highly qualified and motivated team members are key for this, and the selection of candidates will thus be highly competitive! We are mainly looking for Ph.D. students right now, but openings for post-docs might be announced very soon as well. Master/BA students (if enrolled in an engineering program at the National University of Singapore) are welcome to inquire about final year projects. Team members are expected to be able to communicate fluently in English, and have a strong CS/programming background. The team will closely work together on the same tasks at once, bringing in the different perspectives, approaches and needs, and strongly cooperate with other teams from the arts and social sciences. Teamwork abilities are a must! Location Singapore is a fascinating country with a diverse culture and population of Chinese, Malays and Indians, mixed with a large number of expatriates from the western countries. Singapore has great and nearly constant weather all around the year, sports one of the lowest crime rates in the world, and is a prime location for exploring the nearby countries of Southeast Asia. Acknowledged as one of the finest universities in the Asia-Pacific region, the Times of London ranks the National University of Singapore 22nd in the world, and 9th in Engineering and IT. Furthermore, the Singaporean government has recently declared Interactive and Digital Media as a matter of national priority and will provide substantial funding for this area.
